This month’s book review is a little bit different, because it’s not a LEOW resource, but a LEO one! Many of you know Adam Davis from his and Lt Col Grossman’s amazing devotional Bulletproof Marriage. You might not know that he wrote another devotional before that one aimed specifically at our officers-Behind the Badge: 365 Daily Devotions for Law Enforcement.
The first thing my officer said when he began reading BTB was “this was written by a cop, huh?” It’s clear on every page that Adam is speaking from experience and draws from his years as an officer. There is a devo for each day of the year that speaks to the difficulties and triumphs our officers face in their profession and as men of God. It reads easily and comprehensively and is a great way for our officers to stay encouraged in their faith, even with their buy schedules and trying work environment.
