Every year I share some of my favorite gifts for blue families, and I always like to start by featuring small shops! Whenever possible I love to support small businesses, especially ones that are law enforcement owned and/or support our first responders. Read on for some great gift ideas for the officer in your life-and snag some promo codes!
Tactical Baby Gear. TBG has super fun diaper bags and baby carriers as well as patches and mugs! We got their “Daypack Diaper Bag” as a baby shower gift years ago and the quality is insane! It’s also a fun, rugged alternative for my LEO instead of my Kate Spade bag 🤪. They’re having a Black Friday sale now until 12/3 with some huge discounts!
Patriot Coolers. This is a small business that really gives back-a portion of every purchase is donated to Homes For Our Troops, a 501(c)3 non-profit that builds and donates accessible housing to severely injured post 9/11 Veterans. My LEO has been using the “Duo Lunch Cooler” for the past year or so and really likes it! It has plenty of room for snacks, beverages, and lunch.
MedicBox. The people that brought us ShieldBox came out with an awesome new venture this year: “For life savers and risk takers”! We’ve gotten two MedicBoxes and the quality and quantity of the items inside is really impressive. You can subscribe for regular boxes but also cancel anytime-a single box or a subscription would be a really great gift for any first responder!
Sheepdog Response Virtual Course. You probably already know of Tim Kennedy-this is his company! My LEO actually told me about a hunting course that Sheepdog Response offers, and when I looked into it I found a bunch of cool virtual classes, like Dry Firing and Trauma Response. This would be a good gift for a LEO that doesn’t need any more “stuff”!
Dryfire Pillow from Armed In Style. If your LEO wants to train more at home, this is a practical option-that also looks good in your living room! One side is super cute and the other has various targets (you get to choose the option). We can use code “AMMO&GRACE” to save!
Wiley’s Wood Working. WWW is a blue owned business and has super cool ammo and wood products. We have their bullet game (think the triangle peg game from Cracker Barrel!) and I gifted the thin blue line Spartan shield to my officer one Christmas. Bibles for LEO Life Kit. These life kits are so special and powerful! Both my officer and I were blown away by his. It includes a custom LEO compact bible, a sticker, a patch, a prayer card, and more! If your officer already has a life kit, BLEO also has some really cool apparel. Ben Shot. This is an American made, American based family small shop that makes the coolest glasses! We gifted some of their bullet whiskey glasses to my BIL several Christmases ago and he loved them. Tactical Stocking from Thin Blue Line USA. Okay, how fun are these stockings?! I love that it’s unique AND it’s under $20. Score! Add a few of your officer’s favorite things inside (maybe a mug and coffee card) and you’ll be good to go!
Challenge Coin Subscription. Thin Blue Line USA has a monthly challenge coin subscription (you can choose from the one or two coin option) that would be perfect for any challenge coin collector! I like subscription options because it makes Christmas giving last even longer!
American Freedom Co. Sara has a heart for our military and first responders, America, and most of all, Jesus! Her small business runs on the foundation of the Bible and the constitution, and her products all reflect this. I have several of her shirts and sweatshirts and the quality is incredible. SRVS Gear. I love SRVS’s mission-they spread support to first responder and veterans by gifting a shirt with EVERY give back program shirt purchased! Goat Guns. Okay, how cool are these miniature gun models?! They have every model of gun you can think of, and they assemble just like the real thing! This is the perfect gift for your LEO if they’re a gun nut like mine!
Guardian Angel. This gift is on the pricier side but is something your LEO can use everyday at work. My officer has been on the graveyard shift for years, and got this several years back when a buddy had one. It clips onto their uniform (mine wears his on his shoulder) and helps them see to write reports, be more visible, and generally helps them stay safer in the dark. Our last MedicBox also came with a mini “micro version”!
