lord, let me be a police wife who…

There are many, many things that I hope to be and traits I strive for. The Bible points us to many, such as the fruit of the spirit in Galatians 5:22-23 (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control).

There are a particular few that I feel especially called to as a police wife. As blue family, we know that it’s not just the officer who serves-it’s the entire family. Here are some things I pray to be:

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2
“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12
“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.” 1 Corinthians 14:33
“You have given me greater joy than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine. In peace i will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O Lord, will keep me safe.” Psalm 3:7-8
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
