Okay yall, I know it’s not exactly December, but the book I was planning on reviewing for next month is being released early, is on sale right now, AND can get to you by Christmas! Um, yes please!
The other week Adam reached out to me and asked if I would be interested in reading his new devotional. Of course I said send it over-and I was hooked the minute I started reading!
Bulletproof Marriage is a 90 day devotional written by Adam Davis and Lt. Col. Dave Grossman specifically for sheepdog marriages (meaning first responder and military couples). It is clear from the minute you start reading that these guys know what they’re talking about-it contains real stories and examples and you get the feeling you’re having a conversation with a trusted friend or pastor. This devo is structured to study WITH your spouse, which I absolutely love. Each day contains relevant scriptures, a devo, sections specifically for both the sheepdog and the spouse, discussion questions, and a prayer. You guys, Adam and Dave have literally thoughts of EVERYTHING! I love this study because it’s rooted in scripture but reads easily, and is relevant for someone who has been walking with Christ for one day or their entire life.
One of my favorite things is the dedication section of this book-both men have dedicated it to their wives and it’s clear both in their writing and in their lives that they have fought hard for their marriages and cherish the covenant that it is. In a world that seems to place little emphasis on marriage, I find this so inspiring and reassuring.
As you can tell, I’m a little obsessed with this new release! Dave and Adam are running a special right now where you can get two books for $30 plus shipping. And, they’re supposed to be delivered by Christmas! I know I’m scooping up a few for the special couples in my life. Because this is an early release (the book officially comes out January 1), they’re using PayPal-just follow this link and make sure your shipping address is correct! It’s also available for pre-order on Amazon here. There is also a closed Facebook group for sheepdog couples going through the book that you can join here.
