thank a police officer day {09.21.24}

Thank a Police Officer Day (not to be confused with Police Week or Law Enforcement Appreciation Day) is always the third Saturday in September, making it this coming weekend on the 21st!

Some people go all out for TAPO Day and some don’t acknowledge it at all. I personally think it’s an awesome opportunity to show our LEOs a little extra love and appreciation!

Maybe that’s a simple “thank you for what you do” if you pass a cop, maybe it’s gifting some treats or coffee, or maybe it’s using these free printables. Whatever you do, I hope you take an extra moment to show support for our officers. A little bit of appreciation goes a long way, especially in the difficult climate they work in these days!

To see a previous year’s TAPO Day post with more ideas and recipes, click here. It has gift ideas and recipe links, like for my yummy homemade blue line brownies and thin blue line brownie sandwiches.

To download a free TAPO printable (attach it to a treat, hand it to a cop you see on the street, or tuck it on their car!) scroll down to the bottom of this post to save and print. There’s a simple “note” version (to use as is to let LEOs know they’re appreciated and prayed for) as well as a “gift” option to attach to a little treat or present!

To download the below TAPO images for your social media, simply save them to your device.

And…because thanking a police officer wouldn’t be complete without thanking their partners, use code TAPO to save on The Praying Police Wife ebook! It’s a collection of prayers written specifically for blue life, and it’s an instant download so you don’t have to wait for it to ship! You can find it here.
