Life can be overwhelming. Especially lately. I don’t know about yall, but it seems like each time I glance at the news, each time I scroll through my newsfeed, I’m met with awful news. Shootings. Murders. Kidnappings. Hate. So much hate.
It can be hard to keep the faith when the world seems to be crumbling all around us. It can be easier to give in to the overwhelming feelings, to the discouragement, to the hate.
Friends, don’t do it.
Keep praying. Keep asking for guidance. Keep following the Lord’s path. Keep confident. Keep hopeful. Keep loving.
Prayer:
Lord, I may be overwhelmed but You are not. I ask that You wrap Your arms around myself and our struggling world. Remind us of Your goodness and the goodness that is in our world, even when we have to look a little bit harder for it. We are in need of Your love so desperately, especially those of us who are having a trouble remembering. Draw near to us, Lord. Hold us close.
