Thank a Police Officer Day (not to be confused with Police Week or Law Enforcement Appreciation Day) is always the third Saturday in September, making it tomorrow, September the 20th!
This past week has been really heavy for our nation, and to be honest, TAPO Day almost slipped by me. If you’re feeling conflicted about how to live everyday life while also battling with what’s going on in the world…know that you’re not alone. We’re living in dark and broken times, and some really scary and heartbreaking things have been happening.
But God.
More than ever, I am leaning on His goodness and the knowledge that His plan is so much better than any I could dream up. In case you missed it over social media, I posted a little about what’s been on my heart here and here.
All that to say-phew! Yay! It’s almost TAPO Day, and our LEOs sure do deserve to be acknowledged and celebrated. Some people go all out for TAPO Day and some don’t acknowledge it at all. I personally think it’s an awesome opportunity to show our LEOs a little extra love and appreciation!
Maybe that’s a simple “thank you for what you do” if you pass a cop, maybe it’s gifting some treats or coffee, or maybe it’s using these free printables. Whatever you do, I hope you take an extra moment to show support for our officers. A little bit of appreciation goes a long way, especially in the difficult climate they work in these days!
